EXTENSIVE TIME AND EFFORT WENT INTO DEVELOPING THE FINEST HIGH RPM CRANKSHAFT IN OUTBOARD RACING.

THE CRITICAL END JOURNALS ARE DRILLED FOR STRENGTH WITH THE ADDED BENEFIT OF WEIGHT REDUCTION.

THE COUNTERWEIGHTS ARE LIGHTENED IN SPECIFIC AREAS TO ENHANCE BALANCE MINIMIZING THE AMOUNT OF HEAVYMETAL NEEDED TO FINAL BALANCE THE ASSEMBLY.

VERY LITTLE HEAVYMETAL IS REQUIRED ON A 2.5L AND NONE IS NEEDED ON OUR 2.0L CRANKSHAFTS. THIS CRANKSHAFT COUPLED WITH OUR LIGHTENED AND BALANCED PISTON/ROD ASSEMBLIES HAVE BEEN USED IN OUR FORMULA ONE AND DRAG MOTORS SINCE LATE 1995. THEY WERE STANDARD EQUIPMENT ON THE MERCURY RACING 2.0L EUROPEAN TUNNEL BOAT MOTORS THAT RAN ALMOST 11,000 RPM LAP AFTER LAP.
THE ULTRA-LITE VERSION PICTURED IS $2,550. A SUITABLE CORE MUST BE SUPPLIED.

A SPORTSMAN VERSION IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR $1,875. THIS IS POPULAR WITH RIVER RACERS WHO ALSO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL DRAG RACING AS WELL. THIS SPORTSMAN VERSION HAS LESS MATERIAL REMOVED FROM THE COUNTERWEIGHTS, THAN THE ULTRA-LITE VERSION. THE END RESULT IS A PERFECTLY BALANCED ASSEMBLY, JUST HEAVIER THAN THE ULTRA-LITE. IT IS VASTLY SUPERIOR TO ANY CRANKSHAFT THAT IS BALANCED ONLY IN THE TRADITIONAL METHOD.
